Fredonia, Arizona, circa 1900

This photo came to me on a CD of Jackson Family photos. The following is a description, which was included on the CD:

Grandma and children by the old house – On back of picture says “This was Grandpa jacksons home when he died. With Earl, Elmer, Taylor, Beryl, Lavell, and myself.  Please return this.  It’s all I have.  Myself refers to Grandma Estella Jackson.   This is in her handwriting.   Also says”Weldon was born in this house” in Patricia’s habdwriting.

I believe this is a picture of Estella (Pratt) Jackson, standing with her children outside the old home of her father-in-law, Jesse Taylor Jackson. At the time this photo was taken they might have been living in the house, which was in Fredonia, Arizona. She is probably holding Andrew Lavell Jackson, who was born in 1908. Earl probably stands to the far left; he was the eldest of her children. Estella Beryl is obviously the girl. The two boys would be Lorum Elmer and Theo Taylor, but I can’t tell them apart. Frances Weldon was born in 1912

Based on the age of Lavell, it seems likely that the photo was taken sometime around 1908 or 1909.
