Cross Family about 1915

Found this photo as I was going through my files, and instantly recognized the handwriting as belonging to Ruth (Cummings) Sorofman. And so I thought I’d post this to share both the photo and my memory of Ruth, who loved genealogy and passed her family history on to me, amongst many others.

The Cross Family intersects our 4Family History through the Cummings Family. Orlando and Betsey Cross are the great grandparents of Ruth (Cummings) Sorofman. Their daughter Inez married Zenas Lincoln Cummings in 1890. And their son, Earl O. Cummings, married Nellie Frances Silver. Earl and Nellie are Ruth’s parents.

Not certain about the others in the photo. I believe Arthur and Elmer Cross are sons of Orlando. I don’t know where Edith and Isadora or the Birds fit into the family. Yet.

And where is the Cross Family Farm? More questions.
