Lorum Elmer Jackson married his sweetheart, Leah Meeks, on June 30th, 1926 in the Salt Lake City Temple. He was a 28 year old sheep rancher from Fredonia, Arizona. She was a 24 year old school teacher, who lived with her family just a few miles to the north in Kanab, Utah.
They married and prospered and their family grew to include four children and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. Their descendants, who stretch forward into the 21st Century, can also look back to a long line of ancestors who have taken part in the settling of this nation from the American West to the colonial frontier.
From Elmer to Robert Alexander to Jesse Taylor to Aaron to Abraham to Robert to Hugh Jackson. These seven generations stretch over 200 years and across a continent. Elmer and Leah begin the first generation of this Jackson line of our 4Family History.
